Tupperware parties are as popular as ever, with thirty four percent of respondents having attended more than six Tupperware parties!  Fifty one percent of those polled report the main reason for attending Tupperware parties is to gather with family and friends, while thirty eight percent attend primarily to purchase Tupperware® products.

The Goods.

American women love having fun with family, friends and Tupperware® products!  Ninety percent of respondents say they purchase Tupperware® products when attending parties, with thirty four percent purchasing three or more.  With a great variety of different Tupperware® products available, an overwhelming majority of American women (77%) prefer those used for storage and keeping food fresh.

Hosting Is Where the Heart Is.

Reportedly, thirty four percent of American women have hosted a Tupperware party.  Women who host Tupperware parties have a great time and are eager to entertain again-and many do!  Sixty three percent of Tupperware party hosts have had at least two parties and twenty four percent have hosted at least five!

Why Host?

When asked the main reason for hosting Tupperware parties, thirty six percent of those polled report gathering with family and friends, while other respondents were closely divided between the financial rewards (27%) and purchasing Tupperware® products (25%).  Today hosting a Tupperware party is more fun, flexible and rewarding than ever.  A Tupperware Consultant will be the party host's right-hand, helping with details and set up, providing a great demonstration and fitting the party into anyone's busy schedule.  With family and friends, tasty treats, favorite Tupperware® products and financial rewards, hosting a Tupperware party is ideal for everyone!

This Tupperware report presents the findings of a telephone survey conducted among a national probability sample of 1009 adult women, 18 years of age or older, living in private households in the continental United States.  Opinion Research Corporation International of Princeton, NJ conducted the interviewing during the period of January 17 - January 21, 2002.
