9 Your article, "Mouth Hunger" and "Tummy Hunger" is a brilliant explanation of why my coauthors and I created this book: The Eating Disorders Book of Hope and Healing. It's for JUST THOSE MOMENTS when someone is bored, sad, or looking for comfort in food. The 22 affirmations are reminders that food doesn't fix anything besides hunger, and that feelings deserve their own solutions, rather than ignoring or "stuffing" them with food. Below are two photos of the original Eating Disorders Book of Hope and Healing, and we also have a pocket-sized version. Click photos to enlarge. Each book contains 22 eating-related affirmations to guide and support emotional
eaters in the moment that mouth-hunger strikes. The book was created by two therapists
and a dietitian (me) who help individuals manage their emotional eating. You don’t
need to be in therapy to appreciate the comforting thoughts in each book when you’re
feeling all alone. |
