Haiku

Hilda Graham writes:  "Hi.  I wrote this a few minutes after finding my beautiful rose."

My Red Red Rose

I walked out in the garden
In the early morning light
and as I looked around
There to my delight
a red red rose was blooming
on a plant I`d long thought dead.
Oh how beautiful it was
The deepest crimson red,
it`s petals were all covered
with the early morning dew
that sparkled like diamonds
as the sun came shining through.
As I stood and pondered
how did this plant survive
for it seemed days before
this plant was not alive.
Suddenly I felt a sense of joy,
My heart was filled with love
for surely this must be a gift
sent from heaven above.
