It's easy to present a fantastically rich and attractive ham to your family or guests, and quick too, using a pre-cooked ham and a few other ingredients.

Quick & Easy Rum-Glazed Ham

1 5 to 6 lb. fully cooked bone-in ham
1 15 or16 oz. sliced pineapple
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 C. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
1/2 tsp.
ground ginger
1/4 tsp.
ground cloves
1/3 cup rum
whole cloves
Maraschino cherries (optional)

Place ham on a rack in a roasting pan, prettiest side up.  Bake at 325° for 1 hour.  Remove from oven, and turn oven heat to 425°.

Score fat and rind diagonally with a sharp knife, first in one direction, then in the other.

Place 2/3 C. of the drained pineapple juice in a medium saucepan.  Whisk in the mustard.  Combine the cornstarch, brown sugar, ginger and ground cloves.  Whisk into the juice.  Cook over medium-high heat, stirring, until sugar dissolves, and glaze thickens and is smooth.  Add rum, and continue cooking and stirring until it comes to a boil again.  Remove from heat.

Brush glaze over the ham, and bake at 425° for ten minutes.  Remove from oven; arrange pineapple slices over surface of ham and secure them with whole cloves.  If desired, place a cherry in the center of each slice and affix with a clove.  Brush liberally with glaze, and bake about 20 minutes, brushing with more glaze occasionally.

Enjoy!
