Can it be that I am the only person who never heard of Turtle Burgers?  Joanne Rice, Fuller Brush Divisional Director, has remedied that.  Don't worry, we're not going to go out on the hunt and decimate wildlife.  These burgers are made with normal ingredients.  While not the healthiest food, of course, this is an amusing treat for kids or kids at heart.  Be sure and cook them in the oven, not on the grill, to be assured they are cooked through.

lean ground beef

sharp cheddar slices
bacon
buns

lettuce
tomato

Preheat oven to 400º F.  Make fat oval burgers.  Add pieces of hot dog, slashed for feet and toes, and a pointed snippet for a tail.  Press a slice of cheddar into the back.  Weave bacon around the burger, completely covering the cheese.  Place in a shallow baking dish and bake for 20 to 30 minutes until ground beef is cooked through.
