I am a picky 17 year old eater and i am constantly being nagged about it.  It frustrates me and is an annoyance to me and many others. I am willing to try new foods and am able to maintain a well balanced diet. However there are many foods that i do not like and am always pressured to eat them. I dont liek them and theres nothing i can do about it. If i force myself to eat it i began to gag and it is very difficult for me to swallow the food. I need information on picky eating so i can present them to my parents so they can understand that i just can not help it.

Hello Danielle,

You're not alone...I thought I was alone all my life (I'm 38) until recently when I found this site:

http://www.pickyeatingadults.com/

I think we all need to stick together as currently I really don't think there's any help out there as nobody seems to understand our situations...even "trained proffesional".

Hi Danielle & all,

I can understand U being a picky eater cos my hubby is also picky about certain food

eg. prunes, plums, strawberry, persimmon , brinjal, ladies finger etc.

Actually if the meal planner know how to overcome this, the list of items avoided by the picky eater will be greatly reduced & there is no need to nag.

Also the pickyeater gets the good nutrition from these food.

I went thru this stage nagging out of worry for my son who was a very  picky eater. I found the answer  and thus  ve written a book to help people /parents with picky eaters (adult or children). In this book, there is 1 whole chapter that the mealplanner just need to put into action. A very simple way of preparing food that is healthy yet delicious .The recipes in this book is suitable for children and adults.

Pls go to: food4pickyeaters.com

if U wish to find out more .

My hubby has been consuming all those food above & enjoying them since I did it the same way for my son.

The reason why someone is picky is cos he/she has a sensitive tongue and perhaps other reasons which has not been  undiscovered. However follow what I did & You dont have to fret but start enjoying food ( al least as much as possible if not all)

If you can tell me what food U are picky about I can also see what I can do to help.
