Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

    

4 1/4 C. all-purpose flour
1 tsp Watkins Baking Powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 C. butter, softened
1 1/4 C. sugar
1 1/4 C. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. Watkins Vanilla Extract
12 oz. chopped chocolate (or 12 oz. chocolate chips)
Watkins Sea Salt (optional)

Heat oven to 375° F.  

Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda in medium bowl; set aside.

Combine butter, sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl.  Beat at medium  speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.  Add eggs and vanilla.  Continue beating, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.  Stir in chocolate chunks (or chips). 

Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.  Sprinkle with sea salt while till warm.   Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
